Our Company Formed in 1991 after leaving Big Eight accounting firm of Ernst & Whinney, Advanced Information Management began our services to small and medium size businesses. The original company name was Accounting Systems Consulting, which reflected the primary focus of our business at that time. While working for Ernst & Whinney, skills were developed in numerous accounting software packages. We felt there was a need in the community to help businesses locate a software package that was a good fit for their operations, without the concern that the recommendation was being made by a consultant who stood to make a commission on the software sale. While we were authorized to sell and install a dozen different packages, we choose to align ourselves with other retailers and limit our services to consulting only. During the next few years, we developed accounting systems for a large international leasing firm, a medical equipment manufacturer, and international airline, and an international non-profit organization. Also while developing these systems, we began to offer consulting to smaller businesses with both QuickBooks and Peachtree Accounting. In our smaller clients, we were asked to provide much more that consulting services on their software. We were asked for operational advice, payroll processing, monthly bookkeeping and for computer hardware. Briefly, a sister company called Advanced Network Technology offered computer hardware sales, service and networking to compliment our offerings in the accounting business. In 1998 the two firms were merged and renamed Advanced Information Management. Life event choices lead us to relocate the business to central Illinois in 2000 and we have been focusing on our accounting and tax services to our clients since then.
